Lyme Therapy Protocol
People appreciate that Chinese medicine and natural therapies have few risks or side effects. However, it is essential to note that natural medicine requires focused intent when applied to chronic conditions or strong pathogens to work effectively. People hear that cinnamon kills the Lyme bacterium and therefore start drinking cinnamon tea, hoping for a cure; this is an unrealistic expectation built on desperation. Instead, this intensive program employs multiple clinically proven strategies simultaneously to gently resolve Lyme Disease.
Lyme Disease Strategy
Phase 1-Purging
During the initial 6 weeks, there is a great deal of focus on purging Borrelia bacteria from the body. During this period, multiple modalities are utilized, such as:
-
Back Shu Acu-points that have a powerful effect on internal organs are activated. These points are where the Qi and Blood of organs meet and can transport Qi directly to organs.
-
Acupuncture points that "release the exterior" are utilized to help bring the pathogen to the surface of the body, where it can be released according to Chinese medical theory.
-
Therapeutic foot soaks containing herbs and essential oils to purge 'Lurking Pathogens" and calm "Internal Wind" are applied.
-
Functional Mushrooms that repair neurological damage and rebuild the immune system are employed.
-
Herbs and topical essential oils to harmonize the Liver are prescribed, as many of the symptoms of Lyme disease are attributed to Liver imbalances according to Chinese medicine. Chinese herbs that resolve "External Pathogens" are also employed at this time.
Phase 2-Rebuilding
During the remaining 4 weeks, the focus is on repairing the damage done by the invading pathogen. Because each individual's body is impacted differently, this is a customized protocol using all appropriate modalities available. At this time, tonic herbs are introduced to help nourish depleted systems; if introduced prematurely, tonic herbs strengthen the pathogen and worsen symptoms.
Self-Care
Between treatments, patients are instructed to apply self-care therapies. If time allows, one week before the start of the program, Dr. Browne ships self-care remedies to participants, which include:
Some participants take it upon themselves to start these therapies ahead of schedule, but the remedies they purchase are not covered in the program cost. Additionally, participants are encouraged to begin the following practices immediately:
How It Works
Every participant is encouraged to read the articles linked. Dr. Browne will be focused on providing the best treatment possible during your session. A lecture on Chinese medicine will not only distract her, but it will also take valuable time away from your treatment effort.
Chinese medicine is a vast subject, but Dr. Browne has written these articles for the layperson so that you can better understand how your treatments work:
After the Program
Up to this point, all remedies prescribed have been paid for during your initial enrollment. Depending on the severity of the damage inflicted on your body, you may need restorative herbs and remedies for an extended period. Dr. Browne will design a self-treatment protocol for you upon the completion of your program, but you will need to pay for these remedies.
Follow-Up Acupuncture
Dr. Browne does not have a general acupuncture practice and does not offer individual treatments or private herbal consultations outside of this program. You will want to find a local licensed acupuncturist if you want to continue acupuncture treatments after this program.
